La diversidad étnica y cultural que existe en Panamá constituye una fuente de creatividad y energía que no ha sido reconocida a través de los años de la República. Los grupos negros cuya cosmovisión ennoblece una armoniosa relación con el medio ambiente, son descontados como obstáculos a la modernidad y descalificados como ciudadanos de segunda categoría.
Se ha desconocido el papel fundamental de la riqueza cultural y las experiencias en la formación y consolidación de identidad, así como su contribución a la conformación de la economía del país.
La herencia africana representada en nuestra población son fuentes de identidad actualmente marginada e ignoradas. Semejantes, exclusiones han repercutido en división, inestabilidad y debilidad en los grupos. Ahora se inicia un desafío por mantener la identidad y es parte del futuro.
Queremos ser los negros, los negros de hoy y los negros de mañana, queremos ser respetados en cada uno de los rincones del país, que seamos escuchados tanto a lo interno del país como en la comunidad internacional. Queremos ser parte de las iniciativas regionales e internacionales.

We want to be the Blacks, the Blacks of today, the Blacks of tomorrow, we want to be respected in each and every corner of the country, to be listened in the interior of the country as well as in the international community. We want to be part of the regional and international initiatives.
